The challenge
premiumflipflops sells across Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, where buyers prefer their own language — but translating every product, FAQ, and blog across 11 languages by hand would need a full-time team, and paid translation APIs charge per word.
What we built
- A self-hosted n8n workflow translates any English product, blog, FAQ, or page into up to 11 languages in a single run, using a local AI model (Ollama) — no external API fees.
- It extracts and translates only the text, never the page code (HTML or Avada Fusion Builder shortcodes), then reconstructs the page — so translated pages look identical to the English original.
- A brand glossary is injected into every translation, so key product terms stay consistent across all languages.
- Translations are created as WPML-linked drafts for human review before publishing, and every run is logged.
